From the inception of the firm, the intellectual property Department has been an important area of our practice. We are proud to be pioneers in this area of the law. spearheading the efforts that resulted in the creation of the Panamanian Industrial Property Association.
The ANORCO Intellectual Property Team has developed an expertise in handling a wide array of matters including search, prosecution. monitoring and enforcement actions related to trademarks, trade names, patents. utility models and industrial designs.
Our IP Litigation Department has successfully represented clients both as plaintiffs and defendants in intellectual property disputes before local jurisdiction authorities. Moreover, we are also experienced in helping our clients to find a negotiated solution to a conflict when an out of court settlement may be in the best interest of the client. We also advise clients on copyrights, domain names, franchising and health registrations in Panama.
